Partnership Values
We believe that it takes a community of trusted and connected relationships to raise a child and it is only when a child has this community of care around them that they have they can grow and develop into their best self whatever their needs.
North Ashfield Partnership aims to support the children, schools, parents, and the professionals we work alongside to develop a child’s community of support by:
- Exploring, understanding and celebrating the child’s strengths.
- Being curious about behaviour as a form of communication.
- Working with parents and professionals to understand and explore a child’s emotional resilience and development.
- Encourage and support parents and school to work closely together.
Our partnership schools
Although our team is small, we support the children, staff and families of:
- 21 primary schools,
- 2 infants, 1 junior school
- Selston Church of England Infant School also chooses to access our support.
What do we offer?
- A strength-based approach to exploring and understanding the needs of a child, family and school when suspensions impact on learning opportunities
- Assessments that explore a child’s Social Emotional and Mental Health needs (SEMH) and how they impact on behaviour as a form of communication
- Small, focused groups away from home and school that allow parents and carers to work alongside their children on focused activities that encourage emotional resilience
- Bespoke training opportunities for school professionals regarding SEMH need
- Professional consultations about a child in their care
- Focused networks for school professionals to access up-to-date information and develop their own understanding of SEMH needs
